So.....he there. As no one knows about this portal into my own psyche, I am writing for myself. As I get friends in this area of my life, I am sure my posts will reflect questions, comments, and the like.
I decided to do a blog like this because I have been researching for NaNo for 2011 and I found an awful lot of information that is readily shared by others, specifically writers. THANK YOU. You don't know who you are, but there are a whole bunch of you and I will have to find you again and put your blogs on my blog. I know there is a way.......LOL
As I work on this, my partner and my son are playing Dungeon Hunter; Alliance. This is a video game that they both are into and it is a 2-player (or more) game. They have been at it for hours. Nice as I get to do what I want to do without having to deal with others. Selfish, I know but I need ME time, too.
I named this blog the WannaBe Writer because that is what I am. Years ago I wrote interactively and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I find it daunting to even think about putting together a whole story, characters and all. I just had my 1 character to deal with and played off the others' posts. It was fun. I learned alot.
I have joined NaNoWriMo now for about 6 years and I have yet to win it. Last year, I didn't even start. But I try each year to at least be involved. Maybe this will be my year. I certainly am doing more now than I have in the past. In fact, I have learned I should have been working on the idea of my story long before November 1. Ah well.....live and learn.
I live in Connecticut with my partner and my 3 kids. They are all young adults now but still living at home. It makes for a crazy tight fit sometimes but I love having them all around.
I guess that is it for now. I will have to get the hang of this blog thing. If you stumble across my little page in the world-wide net, please leave a comment. I would welcome any and all.
